E-commerce Manager, (Japanese Market)

Job Description

This role is based in Paris.

As a** E-commerce Manager (Japanese Market)**, you will own expanding the activity of our US and European brands on Amazon Japan. In this role, you will be part of our Brand Management team and you will have full 360° action field to launch, grow, manage and optimize our brands on Amazon Japan. It’s a great opportunity for self-starters who want to have full P&L responsibility and be able to build an activity from scratch. This includes : Japan activity setup, product selection fo Japanese market needs, content and product adaptation for Japan, setup of marketing, customer service and operations for Japan. To perform these activities, you will be supported by our operations, CS and content & creative team in the Philippines as well as our Supply chain and sourcing team. Your success will be based on your capacity to understand the Amazon Japan marketplace, your ability to identify opportunities and your capacity to implement actions and deliver concrete results.

What will you do:

  • Product selection: Understand Amazon Japan market needs, size market opportunity and select products to launch on Amazon Japan
  • Localization: Identify product and packaging adaptations for Amazon Japan and work with our translation and content creation team to implement those adaptations
  • Manage Amazon Japan seller account: identify most promising levers and build the action plan to optimize the activity of our brands in Japan (performance marketing optimization, price optimization, promotions and deals, customer communications and more).
  • Analyze key performance indicators on your portfolio (revenue, traffic, conversation rate, advertising/PPC performance, costs, etc.) to determine why certain products are trending up or down, clearly articulate observations and propose strategies to troubleshoot problems.
  • Manage day-to-day operations to keep products successful on Amazon Japan. This includes: monitoring metrics shifts, reacting in case of issues, plan ahead for seasonality and important customer events (for ex. Black Friday), define launch plans for new products, monitor competitive landscape and follow-up on actions.

Preferred Experience

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of e-commerce experience, preferably working within the Amazon ecosystem.
  • 3+ years of experience in development marketing, performance marketing, or an analytical function, preferably at a startup or other fast-paced environment.
  • Japanese speaker
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment / high ambition environment
  • High level of organization, impeccable attention to detail, capacity to figure out complex problems without a lof of oversight
  • Positive attitude, reliable, transparent and enjoy working with different types of people.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Data Science or a related field.
