Job Description

About the role:
As a Director of M&A Transaction Diligence, you will be a key member of our Strategic Planning / M&A group, driving a comprehensive due diligence plan from initiation to integration, working closely with cross-functional teams and executives to ensure our goals and timelines are achieved.

What you will do:

  • Interact with sellers to obtain and organize due diligence information requests and data flow
  • Prepare three statement financial models to assess quality of earnings (QoE)
  • Identify potential issues and risks that could impact the valuation and/or future cash flows
  • Prepare initial drafts of Quality of Earnings and other due diligence reports
  • Help support the M&A team during deal negotiations
  • Work with the M&A team and Operations to develop a clear 100 day plan for each acquisition
  • Support the post-close financial integration of acquired businesses from both a reporting and operating perspective to facilitate a successful and efficient onboarding

Preferred Experience

Who you are:

  • CPA with 5-7 years of experience at an accounting firm in Transactions Services
  • Proven experience overseeing due diligence and project management across accounting and finance functions, as well as legal, regulatory, HR, etc.
  • Understand financial statements, business cycles (revenue, supply chain, etc.), business diligence, valuation, etc.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce business models (experience with Amazon FBA is a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace
  • Ability to design, lead and execute financial due diligence engagements
