Job Description

As Senior Accountant you are responsible for the daily accounting tasks of our service and holding companies as well the US operating companies. As or Group is a young organization you will contribute a lot to establish our processes and system and you will grow yourself with us, get the opportunity to enlarge your scope and shape you career. Ideally you are experienced in fast growing companies in the e-commerce business.

What you will do

  • Assume significant responsibility around month-end closing activities, including reconciliation preparation for various accounts/processes and journal entries.
  • Coordinate and oversee our external service providers
  • Own the company’s various banking relationships
  • Manage sales tax reporting compliance
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies
  • Work closely with the Director Accounting and our other business functions
  • Be part of the NetSuite implementation team
  • Support the FP&A function
  • Assist with the preparation of the audit, developing schedules and fulfilling requests
  • Processing accounts payables and payroll
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financials across subsidiaries and on a consolidated basis

Preferred Experience

Who you are:

  • You have a recognized accounting qualification, such as CA, ACCA or equivalent
  • You about 5 years of experience in a similar role, including hands-on accounting and budgeting
  • You have in-depth knowledge of international accounting standards
  • You have worked in eCommerce or retail with knowledge of relevant inventory and revenue accounting
  • You have excellent communication and English language skills
  • You are familiar with ERP accounting systems
  • Profound understanding of impact of business processes on finance and controlling
  • Strong, hands-on and open-minded personality
