Job Description

About the role:

As Senior Accountant you are responsible for the daily accounting tasks of our service and holding companies as well the US operating companies. As or Group is a young organization you will contribute a lot to establish our processes and system and you will grow yourself with us, get the opportunity to enlarge your scope and shape you career. Ideally you are experienced in fast growing companies in the e-commerce business.

What you will do:

  • Own the cost accounting end-to-end process
  • Prepare monthly journal entries manually
  • Review JEs carefully for anomalies and other inconsistencies
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting reports for submission to management
  • Conduct inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for senior management
  • Implement and review policies or procedures to increase cash flow
  • Review rates of depreciation, labor and overhead and suggest policy changes to improve numbers
  • Classify costs accurately
  • Generate PPV reports and analyze findings
  • Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate
  • Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets
  • Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendors

Preferred Experience

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in cost accounting function.
  • Change management and/or ERP implementation (NetSuite preferred) and governance. International implementation experience preferred
  • Experience with working with a global team in different time zones
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to connect and collaborate effectively with a diverse set of peers and stakeholders; constructive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisive action on process improvement issues
  • Must be an analytical thinker, comfortable taking initiative in situations where thought leadership is either absent or unclear
  • Open-minded and culturally sensitive; well-structured and self-drive work approach; innovation-driven
  • Qualified Accountant - CPA or equivalent
