Tech Lead

Job Description

The Tech team is pioneering a data-driven intelligent platform to optimize and grow E-commerce businesses. Our mission is to design advanced automation, decision-support tools and autonomous algorithms. We believe that human-machine collaboration is the key to capture new trends before they happen, deploy effective quantitative marketing strategies and best tailor our products to our customer’s needs. To achieve this vision, our Tech team relies on cutting-edge approaches to data and software engineering enabling us to quickly iterate new ideas and confidently turn them into data-driven products.

About the role

As a Tech Lead you will be responsible for the design and delivery of systems to enable our business’ growth. You will be interacting with business leaders & product managers to define requirements and then design technical solutions to improve (or automate) existing company processes. You will manage a small team of developers to deliver the systems in your business domain.
The applications you will design and build will directly impact the growth of the company. Ideally you are experienced in fast growing companies and designing software with a vision of scalability and long term stability.

What you will do

  • Be responsible for the end to end delivery and maintenance of custom technology solutions
  • Manage a small squad/team of developers to deliver valuable technology as needed by business stakeholders and product managers
  • Report and communicate project progress to stakeholders
  • Be the tech point of contact for the support of solutions already shipped (leading to the definition of new features that will decrease the amount of time spent on support)
  • Make key technology and design decisions
  • Be responsible for the stability of your launched systems

Preferred Experience

Who you are

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • At least 5 years of professional experience building web applications
  • Proven experience programming and testing backend applications in multiple languages (Javascript, Python, Go, ...)
  • Previous experience with cloud native development and deployment. (Docker, K8S, GCP, AWS, ...)
  • Previous exposure to data engineering problems
  • Experience with the CI/CD of web applications
  • Able to work in a team environment and be autonomous on development tasks
  • A quick learner, and have the ability to make decisions and support such decisions with data
