Job Description

About the role: **
The Primary mission of the **Sourcing Director
is to ensure a continuous optimization of the group’s product portfolio by leveraging his relationships and establishing new partnerships with top suppliers that can provide an improvement on these core areas:

  • Quality of the products and factories meeting or exceeding the KPI’s set from the quality department.
  • Cost savings based on efficiencies of scale and optimized processes.
  • Working capital improvement by supporting the company on its payment terms and other related initiatives.
  • Delivery time improvement allowing a better forecasting and reaction to constant market conditions. The Secondary mission of the Sourcing Director is to mitigate risk of supplier concentration by developing alternative suppliers for the group’s key products. Ensuring that suppliers sign the proper contracts with the company before being onboarded and to make sure they are in agreement of the penalties for non-compliance as well as the general onboarding process to avoid problems as they are handed over to purchasing. The final mission of the Sourcing Director is to work collaboratively across departments, supporting the flow of information, and knowledge, raising awareness and acting as a business partner to the organisation, advocating real-time information and enabling the business to make informed decisions on the basis of solid KPI management.

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute the sourcing strategy for our CG product portfolio with ownership of each category performance in terms of total cost, quality and services;
  • Develops & regularly maintains/up-dates short-, mid- and long-term category strategy, linking this strategy with overall business strategy/objectives, in alignment with departmental stakeholders (C-suite).
  • You will have and continue to forge key relationships with (strategic) suppliers/industry leaders and develop those relationships on behalf of ATV Global being mindful of long-term mutually beneficial and ethical objectives as well as providing the business with access to supplier innovation.
  • Manage the sourcing and purchasing activities such as price, T&C negotiations and to ensure continuity of supply, reduce total costs and prepare for future sourcing challenges.
  • You will directly manage a team of sourcing managers and third parties, to be responsible for sourcing vendors and key suppliers;
  • Improve Working Capital through Payment Terms extensions, Payment cycle optimization, Vendor Managed Inventories and Lead time reductions.
  • Develop a yearly budget depending on sourcing needs.
  • Reduce reliance upon third party sourcing methods/relationships with a focus to bring the core of our highest revenue generating product sourcing in-house, reducing cost spent on third party introductions.
  • Management of third party sourcing relations with L’Angel, F&L, Imex, and Gembah with a view to reducing the need for these partnerships with increased focus on internal sourcing.
  • Manage the quarterly objective setting cycle and performance management requirements of their day to day roles.
  • Develop team capability by identifying skill gaps and support them with training.
  • Participate in all project milestone reviews and project conference calls related to sourcing/pricing/supplier management issues;
  • Assisted in the development and management of an ERP system to manage PO's, agreed price/terms and shipment/on-time delivery tracking.
  • Manage cross functional activities, identify the opportunity, prepare project and implementation plan.
  • In collaboration with the Quality team, you will manage the supplier performance by using supplier scorecard and performance management tools;
  • Lead the corrective action meeting with suppliers until rectification is complete.
  • Perform new suppliers assessment with quality and engineering management team
  • Supplier risk management. Ensure governance and customer specific compliances in suppliers. Ensure no financial risk to hamper products quality or supply.
  • Analyse external market conditions such as commodity prices fluctuations, currency movements, demand and supply, and recommend actions to management
  • Prepare sourcing/market intelligence/supplier base management report, factory note and review with the COO as required.
  • Adhoc duties and project work as required to support the operational performance of the business.

Preferred Experience

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain/operations management, engineering or related field is required.
  • Professional qualification in purchasing management or supply chain from the recognized organization is preferred (i.e. CPM, MCIPS).
  • At least 10 years relevant working experience in buying office / trading /manufacturing industries with 5 years of people management skill.
  • Familiar with manufacturing industries of CGP and well versed with the operational linkage among sales, customer services, supply chain, production, and quality.
  • Broad knowledge of international trade, including deep understanding of retail supply chain and operations.
  • Candidates with a strong sourcing network will be considered a priority.
  • Familiar with PC, SAP or Oracle, ERP, MRP, DRP operations.
  • Good team player, possess strong analytical skill and project management, and with effective communications.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese / Mandarin.
  • Excellent communication skills and thorough understanding of cross cultural communications.
